The following is a list characters from both the MegaMan Battle Network series of video games, and MegaMan NT Warrior, an anime and manga series based on the games. For the sake of brevity, only human characters are listed here - for their NetNavi companions, see the main article on NetNavis.

The original Japanese names in Western order (First name before last name) are first. English names are second, if applicable.

Main Characters

  • Netto Hikari (光 熱斗 Hikari Netto) / Lan Hikari - Lan, a fifth-grade student (sixth-grade at the outset of Battle Network 4 and Axess), isn't particularly special, but the bond of friendship between him and his NetNavi, MegaMan, allow them to achieve what others may deem impossible. In the anime and manga, Lan is the only child to Yuuichiro and Haruka, while in the games, he had a twin brother, Hub (Site, conventionally spelled Saito), who had died as a child and was reincarnated in the form of MegaMan. Lan's mother is Haruka Hikari, and his grandfather is Tadashi Hikari.
  • Rockman.EXE (ロックマン Rokkuman) / MegaMan.EXE - MegaMan is Lan's NetNavi, developed specifically for him by his father. In the games (but apparently not in the manga or anime), MegaMan was developed from the DNA of Hub Hikari (Saito Hikari), Lan's twin brother, who had died from a heart disease called HDB. Because of this, Lan and MegaMan often consider themselves to be brothers. Similar to other versions of MegaMan, he is armed with the MegaBuster, which can be charged. In later games, he has the ability to Style Change, which allows him the use of other (often element-themed) weapons, and Soul Unison (DoubleSoul), which allows him to take the power of another NetNavi for his own (again, analgous to other versions of MegaMan). In the anime, Lan is also able to use a special BattleChip known as the SynchroChip to perform a CrossFusion, allowing Lan to use MegaMan's powers. MegaMan can Soul Unison with a number of NetNavis.
  • Dr. Yuuichiro Hikari (光 祐一朗 Hikari Yūichirō) - Yuuichiro is Lan's father, and the creator of MegaMan. He had followed in his father's footsteps, working as a scientist and a renowned authority on anything having to do with the net. As such, he is often away, working on his latest project with SciLab. Later on in the anime, his focus moves onto merging operator and NetNavi in a process known as CrossFusion.
  • Mail Sakurai (桜井 メイル Sakurai Meiru) / Mayl Sakurai (Maylu Sakurai in the English anime and manga) - Mayl is classmate and friend of Lan, and the operator of Roll.EXE (ロール Rōru). Mayl and Lan are next-door neighbors, and are often seen as a couple. This relationship would typically be mirrored by the relationship between MegaMan and Roll.
  • Rush - In the anime, Rush is a doglike virus created by Yuuichiro and installed into Maylu's PET when Roll and friends attempt to recover MegaMan. Rush also has the ability to go between the real world and the cyberworld, as as such, act as both Maylu's and Roll's pets. However, Rush has a tendency to stick with Lan. Rush can also transform (however, with great reluctance) into the Rush Synchro Chip while in the real world, allowing Mayl to CrossFuse with Roll. In the games, Rush is also a Navi Customizer part that aids the user in multiplayer battles.
  • Dekao Oyama (大山 デカオ Ōyama Dekao) / Dex Ogreon - Dex is a classmate and friend of Lan, and the operator of GutsMan.EXE. He is often portrayed as a bully with a soft spot. His Navi, GutsMan, is a large Navi known for his massive strength, but as a result often lacks intelligence. Dex has a little brother Chisao, who is seen infrequently in Battle Network, and a recurring character in the anime. In later anime episodes, Dex gives up NetBattling in order to focus on his new career as a curry chef.
  • Chisao Oyama (大山 チサオ Ōyama Chisao) / Chisao Ogreon - Chisao is the younger brother of Dex, and originally lived in Netopia (Ameroupe), the Battle Network version of North America, before moving to ACDC/Dentech. He is too young to operate his own NetNavi, although he is a NetBattling prodigy (pulling off a Program Advance on GutsMan when Dex himself could not). He is firm in his belief that his brother is the world's best NetBattler and GutsMan the world's best NetNavi. Although he only appears infrequently in Battle Network, Chisao is a regular in the anime, often appearing when Dex does not.
  • Yaito Ayanokoji (綾小路 やいと Ayanokoji Yaito) / Yai Ayano - Bald in front, Yai is the filthy rich classmate and friend of Lan, and the operator of Glyde.EXE (Glide in the English games, anime, and manga) who is a reference to the villan Glyde from Megaman Legends 2. Considerably younger than the other main characters, as she skipped a few levels due to her intelligence, which for some reason doesn't seem to be used at all. Glide is often seen as Yai's cyber-butler.
  • Tohru Hikawa (氷川 透 Hikawa Tōru) / Tory Froid - Tory, a character appearing only in the anime, is classmate of Lan, and the operator of IceMan.EXE. His father runs the city's water works facility, and because of this, he is blackmailed by the WWW to do their bidding before Lan came to the rescue. In the games, Tory is never mentioned by name, and IceMan is his father's NetNavi. It is to be noted that in the games, the son is kidnapped so that his father is forced to cooperate, while in the anime the reverse is true.
  • Enzan Ijuin (伊集院 炎山 Ijūin Enzan) / Eugene Chaud (Chaud Blaze in the English anime and manga) - Chaud is member of the Official Net Battler Association, an online police force against hacking. Chaud is meticulous in his duties; this makes Lan see him as a rival, because Lan believes that Chaud is arrogant. Chaud is the operator of Protoman.EXE, a NetNavi that he created himself and spends ten hours a day training. Like Yai, Chaud is the protege and heir of a corporation, but unlike Yai, Chaud's father (Shuuseki Ijuin in the Japanese versions), often treats him coldly. Because of his meticulous training with ProtoMan, he is a NetBattler with over 500 wins, and is introduced as such in the anime. In the anime, his character is closer to that of his game counterpart by becoming a NetSavior (NetSaver). He would be the second to gain the Cross Fusion ability.
  • Blues.EXE (ブルース Burusu)/ ProtoMan.EXE - Protoman is Chauds faithful and loyal navi. He does what Chaud orders him to and calls Chaud, Master Chaud/ Enzan-sama in both the games and the anime. In the games, he's an official nettbattler and feared by many criminal navis and is considered a legendary fighter. Protoman's most favorite weapon is using sword type weapons. In Axess, he turns against Chaud when Chaud gives him a darkchip and is later returned to normal with the help of everybody who were willing to help him.
  • Laika (ライカ Raika) / Raika - Raika is a NetSaver from Sharo (the Battle Network version of Siberia), and the operator of SearchMan.EXE. He was trained to be an elite soldier, and sees NetBattling as war. In Axess, he often relies on cunning and instinct to solve his battles against Nebula and the Darkloids, and does not use CrossFusion. This puts him originally at odds with Lan, who he believes is inferior because he has the tendency to do things without thinking about them first, but finds that they are surprisingly effective together. Among the recurring themes in the Axess is the conflict that ensues from him being forced to choose between following orders from superiors and helping Lan out with his mission. In Stream, he was one of the first of many characters to gain the Cross Fusion ability, and later, marked as the one of the chosen who would team up with Lan against Duo.
  • SearchMan.EXE - Searchman is introduced in Axess and was very hostile to Megaman in the beginning. After some battles with Megaman and Protoman, he become accquainted with them and helps both Protoman and Megaman when they need him. In the games, he is a military navi and sees Megaman as a "low soldier" He appears now and then to help Megaman and Protoman.
  • Ms. Mariko Ozono (大園 まり子先生 Ōzono Mariko-sensei) / Ms. Mari - Ms. Mari is the teacher to class 5-B at the Densan (ACDC/DenTech) school, of which Lan, Maylu, Dex, and Yai are a part of (as well as Tory in the anime). She is also seen as the adult chaperone to many of Lan's activities. She does not appear to have a NetNavi in the anime, and uses a generic one in the games.
  • Masa / Masa (Maysa in the English anime and manga) is the owner and operator of a fish stand, and the operator of SharkMan.EXE. In the anime, he is the alter-ego of Commander Beef, one of the Net-Agents, and only uses SharkMan in this form. By day, he often tells the kids the various merits of fish, and claims that he does not have a NetNavi, or anything close to being related to a NetNavi. Masa has a crush on Ms. Mari, but Ms. Mari seems to have fallen for Commander Beef.
  • Yamitaro Higure (日暮 闇太郎 Higure Yamitarō) / Mr. Higsby - Higsby is a collector of rare BattleChips who owns his own chip shop. His NetNavi, NumberMan.EXE, operates a similar chip shop from the cyberworld in the anime. Originally, Higsby locks down Lan's school as part of a WWW operation in the games, or as a way to steal money and rare chips from Yai in the anime, but Lan manages to force Higsby to the side of good. In the anime, Higsby has a crush on Ms. Mari, and sees Masa and Commander Beef as rivals for her affection.
  • Saloma (サロマ Saroma) / Sal - Sal is a gardener, and the operator of WoodMan.EXE, who takes on the identity Black Rose as a Net-Agent. Unlike Maysa and Commander Beef, Sal uses Woodman both as herself and Black Rose, leaving little doubt about Black Rose's secret identity.
  • Miyuki Kuroi (黒井 みゆき Kuroi Miyuki) / Miyu - Miyu is a fortune teller, and the operator of SkullMan.EXE. She is also a Net-Agent, taking on the identity of Mysteriyu.
  • Kero Midorikawa (緑川 ケロ Midorikawa Kero) / Ribita - Ribita is a television personality at DNN (the Densan/Dentech News Network), and is often seen as a reporter or a television host. She is also the operator of ToadMan.EXE. In the anime, she, along with Higsby, are the commentators that frequently appear during the N1 Grand Prix story arc.
  • Meijin Eguchi/Mr. Famous - Mr. Famous ("Famous" being a literal translation of "Meijin") is a scientist working with Yuuichiro. He is the creator of several powerful NetNavis, including his own NetNavis GateMan.EXE, KendoMan.EXE, FootMan.EXE (GridMan in English adaptations), and Punk.EXE, although it is not known which NetNavi he uses in the anime. In every game he has appeared in, each of his navis were created by fans of the series in a Capcom-sponsored contest. A running gag in the anime involves Famous repeatedly trying to convince Lan to not use "Mr." when addressing him. The Japanese version often has the line san wa iranai while the English version will have Famous, just Famous to that effect.

Minor Characters

  • Shuuko Kido (城戸舟子 Kido Shūko) / Shuuko - Shuuko is the operator of AquaMan.EXE (SpoutMan in the English anime) who, in the anime, believes that she is the unluckiest girl in the world because of bad things that always seem to happen coincidentally around her. However, after Higsby installs a sense of confidence in her, she begins to idolize Higsby as well as work in Higsby's shop. Later on, she accepts a job working at Higsby's chip shop. In the games, she is in the midst of replacing something that went "whoosh whoosh", which AquaMan believes is him (but was in fact a washing machine), causing AquaMan to cry and flood the net in the process. Shuuko has two twin brothers, Atsu and Ty (Atsuko and Taichi in the Japanese versions).
  • Charlie Airstar - Charlie is a Netopian helicopter pilot, and the operator of GyroMan.EXE, who can transform into a helicopter. In the games, he joins Team ProtoMan after showing that GyroMan's flying ability proves valuable as an asset.
  • Dingo - Dingo is a Netopian (apparently of native American descent) who takes a quick liking to Lan. His navi, TomahawkMan.EXE, reflects his heritage. In the games, he was originally on board the Queen Bohemia luxury liner where a booster system, whose development was reponsible for many deaths in his hometown, was being sold. His attempt to hijack system and steal the booster system was foiled by Colonel, who convinces them to join Team Colonel.
  • Nenji Rokushakudama / Fyrefox - Nenji is a maker of fireworks, and is the operator of NapalmMan.EXE (although NapalmMan was an independant NetNavi earlier in the series). In the anime, he was originally the operator of Nenjiro, who had been deleted in a fireworks-related accident. He later finds an injured NapalmMan in his PET, who he slowly nurses back to health. In gratitude, NapalmMan decides to change his evil ways and become Nenji's navi.
  • Anetta - Anetta is the operator of PlantMan.EXE (VineMan in the English anime) in the games, and Silk.EXE in the anime. In the games, she is a WWW agent, and is brainwashed by Wily in believing that the cyberworld is destroying nature. In the anime, she had been plagued by illness for most of her life, with Silk having to take care of her. Silk would be deleted trying to save her from a burning hospital.
  • Barrel / Baryl - Barrel (a possible reference to Barrel Casket of the Legends series, although the only thing they have in common is the name.), operating the NetNavi Colonel.EXE, is an official NetBattler from Netopia who seeks Lan and MegaMan to form the Team of Colonel, an elite team of Navis whose purpose is to liberate the net from Nebula's control. In the anime, Barrel lived some 30 years before the start of Stream (and would die at the beginning of the series), leaving Colonel a solo navi. However thanks to the technology known as the Past Tunnel, he can communicate with the characters of the present time. In both versions, he is an old friend of Dr. Wily, although how their friendship developed remained a mystery.
  • Django - The 'Solar Boy', Django appears in the later games as a battlechip. His back story, as shown in the 4th game, is that he is a legendary vampire hunter, and the archrival of Draky (obviously taken from Dracula). His weapon is the Gun Del Sol (Gun of the Sun). Various versions of the guns are available as Battle Chips. The Django Battle Chips appear in EXE5 and 6. In the 4th, he is an actual character that takes part is a side quest to fight the ghost of Shademan, the vampire Navi. Some speculate that because Django is classified as a Navi chip, and Django appears on the Net, that the Django met in the 4th game is a Navi controlled by the real-life Django.

Antagonists

The WWW (World Three)

  • Ken'ichi Hino (火野 ケンイチ Hino Ken'ichi) / Mr. Match - Mr. Match is an agent of the WWW, and the operator of FireMan.EXE (TorchMan in the English anime), HeatMan.EXE, and FlameMan.EXE (but only one at a time). Mr. Match, like the other original members of the WWW, is of ambigouous alignment, appearing as a hero in certain games and as a villain in others. In the anime, HeatMan was created by Mr. Famous from FireMan's data when FireMan was facing deletion at the hands of FreezeMan, and FireMan was re-created from HeatMan when HeatMan was facing deletion at the hands of PlantMan. He does not operate FlameMan in the anime. He is the only human antagonist character to appear in every Battle Network game, aside from Battle Network 5.
  • Madoi Iroaya (色綾 まどい Iroaya Madoi) / Ms. Madd (Maddy in the English anime) - Madd is another WWW operator, and the operator of ColorMan.EXE (ColoredMan in the original anime, WackoMan in the English manga and anime). She was the mastermind behind an incident where the traffic signals in the city were altered as to cause accidents, and the mastermind behind blackmailing Tory and IceMan. In the anime, she also has a brief stint with Gospel, but found friendship with her fellow WWW operators.
  • Mahajarama / Yahoot - Yahoot is a WWW operator, and, in the anime, the owner of the curry shop Maha Ichiban. His NetNavi is MagicMan.EXE. In the anime, he is considered to be the world's foremost authority on curry, and uses the profits from his curry shop (which Lan frequents) to fund the WWW's operations. Later on, he trains Dex to be a curry chef. In the English anime, MagicMan speaks in rhyme.
  • Count Elec (Elec Hakushaku) / Count Jack Zap - Count Zap is the final member of the original WWW, and the operator of ElecMan.EXE. He is the brother of Magnets Gauss, one of Gospel's operators. The rivalry he has with his brother is due to their mother's preference for one over the other (Count Zap in the games and Gauss in the anime).
  • Saiko Rei - Saiko is a WWW operator in the games, and a member of the Neo WWW in the anime. In both cases, he is the operator of FlashMan.EXE.
  • Narcy Hide / Viddy Narcy - Real name Hidenosuke Yamashita, Narcy (a pen name) is a television producer, and a member of Neo WWW in the anime. He is the operator of VideoMan.EXE. In Battle Network, he tries to defeat Lan and MegaMan in the Eagle tournament by using a rewind program, which caused MegaMan's controls to be reversed. Narcy claims to be "beyond gender". He is known to be the most frequently seen member of the Neo WWW, tying only with Inukai and BeastMan. His schemes usually are bizarre and make no sense, such as slapping bunny ears on video game characters or drenching an entire island in curry. His favorite color is pink.
  • Takeo Inukai - Inukai, a member of the WWW in the games and of Neo WWW in the anime, is the operator of BeastMan.EXE (SavageMan in the English anime). In Battle Network, he was once a zookeeper who had freed all of the animals in order to scare people. In Stream, Inukai uses BeastMan to mess with animals. Most of his plots involve animals or animal like themes. He's second only to Narcy in appearances.
  • Noboru Sunayama - Sunayama is a member of the WWW in the games and of Neo WWW in the anime. He is the operator of DesertMan.EXE. Sunayama was a television producer who had, in the Battle Network games, created the N-1 Grand Prix as a plot to frame Chaud and ProtoMan. In the anime, he is a television reporter who worked for DNN.
  • Tesla Magnets - Tesla is the daughter of Gauss, and the second operator of MagnetMan.EXE. In the anime, she is the founder of the NetCrime organization Neo WWW. In the games, however, she is not a villain, but a member of Team ProtoMan, an elite team of NetNavis that save the net from Nebula.
  • Dr. Wily - Like his classic counterpart, Dr. Wily is the main antagonist of the series. Here, he is the leader of the netcrime organization known as WWW ("World Three"). Years ago, his studies in robotics was cut in favor of Tadashi Hikari's research on networking. Bitter at how much networking has progressed, he wishes to have vengeance by destroying the internet. In Battle Network, he originally tries to do so by creating a program known as the LifeVirus, one that, should the program be complete, would be indestructible. In Battle Network 3, he resurfaces to awaken a prototype network program known as Alpha, but was absorbed into Proto itself, and thought to have died. In the anime, he instead seeks the most powerful NetNavi in order to achieve his goals, and manages to capture a weakened PharaohMan. From this he creates Gospel, only to have his creation backfire at the hands of Bass. Since those events, Wily largely fades from the storyline, emerging as a character of neutral alignment. In both the game and series BombMan (called BlasterMan in the anime) and StoneMan are his servants.

Gospel/Grave

  • Magnets Gauss - Gauss is the original operator of MagnetMan, and the brother to Count Zap. He is rich, and appears to be the financier behind Gospel's operation. In the video games, he met his end at the hands of Lan while attempting to hijack an airplane, while he was defeated by the WWW in the anime.
  • Gospel - Gospel (Grave in the English anime) refers to both a netmafia organization led by a mysterious Shuryou Gospel (literally Gospel Leader) (Kid Grave in the English anime) and the wolf-like creature (called the Grave VirusBeast in the series) that is unleased by the organization. In the games, Gospel the creature was created from a collection of bugs in various programs, while in the anime, Gospel and Bass were created from the remains of PharaohMan.
  • Forte/Bass - A mysterious Net Navi who roams the deepest recesses of the internet, seeking to do battle with the strongest opponents. His past is intertwined with that of Tadashi Hikari. In the games, he was the very first Independant NetNavi, created by Dr. Cossack. After being wrongfully accused of causing malfunction of various machines, scientists decide to delete Bass. Dr. Cossack's attempt at stopping them was futile. Nearly defeated, Bass absorbs the strength of the Net Navis he has defeated and flees. He blames humanity for his suffering, and keeps a scar in his chest to remind him of that. He returns every game to battle the series' main characters as a secret boss (In Battle Network 3 Bass had to be fought after Flameman and before Proto (Alpha) but he is Bass GS (Fusion of Bass and Gospel) as a secret boss). In the anime, he is a reincarnation of remains of PharaohMan. Later on in the series, he hijacks a robotic suit to move around in the real world. He plays a large part in Rockman Exe: The Movie.
  • Shun Obihiro/Sean Obihiro - Sean is a character that appears only in the games. In it, he is revealed at the end of Battle Network 2 as the identity of Shuryou Gospel. He is a young child whose parents were killed in an airplane crash. Ostracized by his peers, he decided to strike back at society by forming Gospel. Unbeknownst to him, he was manipulated by Wily the entire time. Sean would eventually change his ways when Lan offers him a hand in friendship. In the Battle Chip Challenge game, it was revealed that FreezeMan was his original NetNavi. Another servent of Sean is CutMan. In the anime, Shuryou Gospel is instead a robot being controlled by Wily, which Bass manages to hijack and use as his human form. In the manga, he is known as Kei Yuki, an extremely bright professor from Ameroupe in Volumes 4 and 5. In Volume, 6 his real identity is revealed to be Sean Obihiro. Superintendent Oda and Sean say that he was brainwashed by Dark Power.
  • Arashi - Arashi was a small company president until larger companies shut him down. He is the owner of AirMan. He has AirMan hack into Yai's air conditioning system to infect it with gas (In the dub, it was steam). Both were thwarted by Lan and MegaMan.
  • Dave - Dave is a park official (or pretends to be one) in the game and Sal's childhood friend in the anime. He is the owner of QuickMan. He dislikes littering (game fact) and other harms to nature and sided with Grave to destroy the dam in the anime. But there's more to the agenda during that event.
  • Dark Miyabi/Dusk - Dark Miyabi is a mysterious mercenary-for-hire who sides with Gospel in the second game and Team Colonel in the fifth, and the operator of ShadowMan. In the anime, only his Navi appeared in the second season of the original series, while he made his appearance in Stream. In both cases, he and his navi were out to eliminate MegaMan until Dr. Wily convinced him to put aside his work and join Lan in the upcoming battle against Duo.
  • Princess Pride - Princess Pride is the princess of Creamland (Brightland in the English anime), and the operator of KnightMan. In the games, she was a member of Gospel who had turned good, and later joins Team Colonel. In the anime, she befriended Lan while disguised as a boy. She resurfaces in Stream as one of the chosen who would join Lan against Duo where she gains the ability to crossfuse with Knightman

Nebula

  • Dr. Regal - Regal is the human mastermind behind Nebula, and the operator of LaserMan. In the games, he is the son of Dr. Wily, who Wily had intended to raise as a good person. In the anime, he is aided by the Darkloids (whom he later betrays), a group of independant Navis who look down on Navis with operators. In both cases, Regal uses Nebula to take over the world - in the games, he does so first by attempting to control Duo's asteroid, and then setting up Kokoro Server (SoulNet in the English Game), a server that linked everyone togther. The nhe used Microservers to give people dark thoughts, allowing Nebula Grey to thrive. It was created by his father Dr. Wily and Netto's grand father, Tadashi Hikari. While in the anime, he attempts to take over the world first through the use of CrossFusion in Axess, then unleashing Nebula Grey from the Undernet in the movie, and then finally attempting to control Duo's asteroid in Stream. In the end, Regal is defeated at the hands of Lan and MegaMan in Axess and the movie, and killed by Duo at the end of Stream, while in the games, he first attempts to commit suicide, but lives, only for his memories to be erased by Wily.
  • Shademan - Shademan was the second in command of Nebula in both Battle Network 4 and 5. It was he who first sensed the Dark Soul that was growing in Megaman. He himself is a Naiv who draws his power from darkness, and as such, could only be defeated by Dark Chips in Battle Network 4. He is modeled after a vampire, and his attacks include bats, sound waves, and the classic vampiric method of draining his victim's energy. Shademan is the only Nebula member in BN4 that appears in BN5 (Besides Dr. Regal)
  • Yuriko Ozono/Ms. Yuri - Ms. Yuri is the twin sister of Ms. Mari. In the games, she was a former WWW agent who had turned good and since taught summer school. In the anime, she is the second-in-command of Nebula, and the operator of NeedleMan (SpikeMan in the English anime). She was separated from her twin sister 15 years before the start of the series, and was raised by Dr. Wily. At the end of Axess however, she was faced with the choice to kill her own sister or betray Nebula. In the end she cuts her ties with Nebula, and in Stream, becomes one of Lan's allies who once again can crossfuse and must save the world from Duo. NOTE: In the Battle Network games, NeedleMan belonged to an unseen gardener at Yai's house.

Solo Navis

  • Pharoahman- Pharoahman clearly deserves a spot in the Solo Navi section, as he has no Net Operator..well he had one, but he didn't stay with him. He was apparently Lan's grandfather's navi, but he got to powerful and was locked away. He was unlocked by Protoman and Megaman after the Double Program Advance using Cyber Sword, Wide Sword, and Long Sword at the end of the N1 Grand Prix. He then claimed the net as his own and tried to delete Protoman, but deleted Megaman instead. Happy with this he filled the net with sand. He later selfdestructs, saying he would rather be deleted than work for WWW. He is later split off into the Virus Beast (Gospel) and Bass.
  • Bass- An obnoxious navi, thats for sure. He comes to the aid of many people...good or bad. He seems to work for evil, as he wants evil to prosper. He was once part of Pharoahman. He swiped a suit of armour in the series, taking the form of KidGrave. Bass was the one who resurrected Pharoahman from stone, as he wanted the Darkloids to rule. After Shademan's arm was cut off he left, without any knowledge of what would happen next...

Darkloids

  • Shademan- The supposed leader of the Darkloids, he is the one who sits upon the throne of the Dark Netcastle in Netcity. He gives out Dark Chips, and seeks out Regal and was eventually defeated by Crossfusion Laserman. (SHADEMAN DELETED)
  • Burnerman- Obsessed with fire, he clearly has a problem with Megaman. He was deleted by Megaman by use of Double Soul Guts Soul.
  • Desertman-a difficult virus, he uses his two desert hands as lions. He seemed invincible until Crossfusion Protoman came and stated that a sandcastle can be destroyed by knocking down a single grain of sand. He later used DarkChips to become invisible, but was found out by Megaman. Then he came back..again in the battle royale to destroy Control X. He was deleted. Again.

Bosses

  • Alpha-a humanoid virus with a core, which was locked away in ACDC by the four TetraGates. He was then unlocked by the Four Tetracodes by Drillman, and stolen for WWW. Alpha was then taken to the Undernet, and Drillman was deleted. Bass then took him to Wily, and then Alpha was unleashed. Alpha apparently IS the old net. Alpha was then deleted by Megaman at the end of Megaman Battle Network 3: Blue and White.
  • Duo-a robotlike virus from space who noticed what Dr. Regal was doing. He then had to destroy the world, because it was evil. Duo was deleted, and then said that he would stay away from the world...for now.
  • NebulaGrey-The evil in its purest form, he was unleashed in Soulnet to make the world evil. He was then uploaded in SoulComp1. Megaman faught his way to NebulaGrey, and deleted him. He resembles a humanoid lion.
  • Colonel-the first boss of Battle Network 5. He started up Team Colonel. He is Baryl's Navi. After being deleted in a battle by Cloudman in order to protect Toadman, he was shifted over to the side of Nebula. He was then liberated. After destroying a Nebula satellite, he was then restored to his former self by Toadman.
  • Protoman-Chaud's Navi and friend to Megaman. He is the first boss of Battle Network 5. Protoman started up Team Protoman. In a battle to protect Meddy from Cloudman, he was deleted and carried over to the dark ways of Nebula. After being liberated, and overwealmed by Meddy's Healingpulse, he was brought over to the side of light.
  • DARKMEGA-The Dark form of Megaman. He was caught by Cloudman's Darkcloud, and persuaded by the Dark Chip. He was liberated and brought over to the side of light because of Lan and Megaman's friendship.
  • Cosmoman-the apparent problem in Sharo, that is why Higsby/Raika join the team. Cosmoman attacks with planets and meteors. After being liberated, he comes back in Nebula Base.
  • Blizzardman-The first Darkloid to be liberated, he wants to make the net a skiing resort...-_- shows his compassion for caring for the net. He comes back later after being liberated.
  • Shademan-Making many appearances, Shademan is a tough guy to take down. He can't do much damage...but he is persistant. After being deleted in a liberation mission, he comes back...they always do come back...
  • Cloudman-A more persistant Darkloid, he feels that clouds should overtake the net. But he apparently has never met Megaman...he was stopped by Megaman in a liberation mission. He comes back at the end of the game.
  • Bass-Bass makes a secret appearance at the end of the game. He is the guardian of the Chaos Lord. He is at the VERY end of the game, and doesn't appear until you beat NebulaGrey. Bass is part of Pharoahman.

Secret Navis

  • Larkman/Swallowman-Larkman/Swallowman is a hidden boss that makes an appearance in Undernet1, although it must be accessed from a secret path in EndCity1 or 2. (I'm not quite sure) Larkman is holding many megachips including Larkman and Larkman SP. Larkman's attack pattern is great, so I recommend to take it on with Chaos Unison Shadow Chaos or Chaos Unison Napalm Chaos. I believe Larkman has 1000 HP, and the faster you take him down, the less powerful attacks he unleashes.
  • Chaos Lord NebulaGray-Nebula Grey makes a second appearance with 2500 HP in a nebula hole, after you go into Murkland, and liberate Cloudman, Shademan, Blizzardman, and Cosmoman. Then you must defeat Bass, and then the Chaos Lord appears, and will pretty much kill you, unless you get the perfect chips. (Sounds like liberations i know) (From Megaman Battle Network 5.)
