Ashtaroth (Hebrew אשתרות ’Aštārôth, Ashtarot, ’Aštərôth, Ashterot, Ashtrot) is the name given in some translations of the Old Testament to the statues of a Semitic goddess. The name is a corruption of Ashtoreth, a dialectal spelling of Astarte or Asherah.

In some translations the goddess is confused with Baal, her husband, and depicted as a bull.

This goddess and her statues must not be confused with a demon mentioned in demonology named Astaroth and also spelled Ashtaroth.
