Honda Canada Incorporated is the Canadian unit of Honda of Japan.

Founded in 1969, Honda has been building cars in Canada since 1986. The head office is in Toronto, Ontario. Plans are to relocate the various Honda offices to Richmond Hill, Ontario in 2008.

Honda Financing was established in 1987.

Honda has 50 authorized official dealers in Canada.

Honda also sells scooters, moped, bikes, snowblowers, lawnmowers and other equipment in Canada.

Manufacturing

Honda's only Canadian plants are located in Alliston, Ontario, north of Toronto, Ontario. Honda of Canada Manufacturing produced 390,000 cars a year. Poor sales of the Ridgeline, and slowing sales of the MDX, led to production cuts in 2006.

Motorcycles were the first Honda products sold and it was not until 1973 were cars sold in Canada.

The first zone office was established in Richmond, British Columbia in 1984

An advance technical training centre was opened in Boucherville QC in 1991 and 15,000 square metres of space for a zone office.
