Welcome!

Hi there, Woogie 10w!!!

Welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like it here and decide to continue editing. Please leave Wikipedia a note at this log to introduce yourself to the other members of Wikipedia

I noticed that you've started on World War II casualties already! If you need any additional information about getting oriented on Wikipedia, I recommend you take a look at this tutorial.

Remember that you can sign your name on talk pages by using three tildes (" ~~~ ") for your username and four (" ~~~~ ") for your username and a timestamp. This will allow other members of Wikipedia to find you more quickly if they would like to have a discussion with you about edits. (Which I'm sure you already know!)

If you have any other questions about the project then check out Wikipedia:Help or you can add a question to the Help desk. You can also drop me a question on my talk page. Although I'm fairly new myself, I'll be willing to try and help answer questions.

Happy editing, Hurrah 15:12, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So you quit only to get sucked back in

So what brought you back to wiki?

WW2 casualties

Yeah, I've read them. And I believe you know what you are talking about. I always have, since I first meassaged you about this last fall to your previous account. That's why I'm hoping you can just make edits to the page as you see fit. You know much more about this than me, and have access to books and sources I don't have. As very few have, I can safely add. For me to make edits on your behalf (as you might be hinting at) will just feel awkward and not right. Besides, I'm not always 100% sure of what you are refering to all the time. So, please, in addition to explain the flaws of the article on the talk-page (as you do, thanks), I would really be glad and happy if you could just make the apropriate changes in the article as well.

I understand that you don't like people questioning your knowledge on this by changing the edits you have made ("changed by morons" as you put it), but this being a wiki, there's not much I or anyone else can do about that besides reverting them when they are unsourced or inconsistent. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that everyone can edit, on good and bad. But I belive I and others have done plenty of reverting and maintained the article pretty well the last months. And it isn't very diofferent now from when you last edited it. Despite "all the morons". The only major difference is, I belive, the matter of the Soviet losses (how and where to count paramilitary and killed POW's etc), and this is way beyond my expertise to state or argue much with others about.
