Pamida is string of department store outlet centers established in 1948 by Jim Witherspoon. It is a division of ShopKo Inc.

Pamida shopping centers carry roughly the same goods as Wal-Mart except that Pamida has purposely targeted spaces in towns vacated where Wal-Mart has moved out of, when Wal-Mart Supercenters are built in nearby cities.

The Pamida motto is "Bringing smaller communities what they want".
