Temperature with most liquid elements

I suppose you're right in removing that section from the Melting points of the elements (data page) article. Where would ou suggest be a better place to put it? Tompw 17:07, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I'll certainly feel better if I didn't just delete a contribution, and can only think of the list of elements by melting point, where a discussion of ranges would even blend in nicely with the existing sorting order by temperature. Femto 19:17, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Helium FAC

Could you take a look at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Helium? --mav

Technetium PR

Since you were so helpful at the helium FAC, I was wondering if you might be interested in commenting at Wikipedia:Peer review/Technetium. I plan to put technetium through FAC once it gets through wikipedia:peer review. --mav 00:33, 23 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Re: Smart-elements.com spam block

Believe it or not I did intend to block this user after checking the block log to see if anyone had set one already (as I got your message a bit late), but my characteristically scattered brain forgot to do so. Perhaps this frames me as not the most reliable admin, but please don't think I meant to create more work for you by neglecting to address the issue. I've noticed you've been a keen defender of chemistry articles, and I sincerely appreciate your efforts.

Anyway, I've given 62.178.173.218 a 30-day block; the IP appears to be static, but there's a chance someone (either an end user or other admin) might complain if I make the block any longer. If the user continues to be a problem, you might consider requesting smart-elements.com be added to the project-wide m:spam blacklist (which would prevent the URL's addition to all Wikipedias). I see this user also spams de:, so perhaps blacklisting is already justified. (I'd do it myself, but I'm not a meta admin.)

If you've any other difficulties, please feel free to contact me. In the meantime I'll be working to curb my absent-mindedness. -- Hadal 21:01, 3 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Voting for standardization

Hi. I'm oo64eva. We're holding a vote here to standardize the table and color template. If you have any questions leave a message on my talk page or on the project talk page. Spread the word about the vote, it ends May 12th at 3:40 UTC. — oo64eva (Alex) (U | T | C) @ 03:54, May 9, 2005 (UTC)

Hi

I'm not sure why you think that horns and hooves can be used to produce gelatin. They cannot. Rather than start an edit war, I thought we could discuss it here. ike9898 16:10, May 12, 2005 (UTC)

Barnstar

The E=MC² Barnstar
The E=MC² Barnstar

I award you this Atomic Barnstar for helping me convert tons of isotope table data from plain wiki to nicely templated style. It would have taken me years and years. --Eddi (Talk) 22:29, 1 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Honored! Really, it was nothing. I do seem to possess some unusual virtuosity at 'playing the text editor' though. :) Femto 10:55, 2 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

atomic masses

Thanks for finding that updated info that you put on List of elements by atomic mass. So far I've copied that info to a few other lists. --Spangineeres (háblame) 13:04, 23 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

STP template

Yo dude! Why did you remove the STP reference from the physical properties template page? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Elementbox_section_physicalprop

I have no idea where else this template page is used so the figures listed under it may not have been for STP, though they were for Hydrogen. We need a reference for these physical properties and STP is a good one.

Keep well, Cyclotronwiki

I need help

Hello VSmith, Femto, Iain.mcclatchie, Skatebiker and Ultramarine. I need help with regards to the damage(in my opinion) done by user Theo Pardilla. Please look at his contribution page, and in the history of some the articles he contributed to, please look at my contributions, under Sillybilly. What is the correct way to proceed in such cases? I'm fairly new to wikipedia, and not well versed in the control methods, if there are any.

Sillybilly 01:05, 29 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, no help from me. I fail to see the damage in what seems to be a description of a legitimate economic concept. Rampant linking and rank article growth should be prevented, and some things might better be used to expand Energy conservation first, but even the Criticism of the BBC has as much right to be there as the next page, as long as it's absolutely clear that it describes opinions. Wikipedia:Template messages/Disputes are used to call attention to non-neutrality or blatant inaccuracies. Other than those, don't add judgemental or derogatory notes to articles, but fight it out on the talk pages (and without name-calling, that is). I agree about the confusing number of edits though and will send Theo a message. Femto 14:49, 29 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Smart elements

Thank you for this warning. The elements are still on my watchlist. ;-) -- 83.129.67.139 19:43, 30 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Na

Nice catch. I scanned the text for other vandalism, but not the infobox. :( --Syrthiss 16:27, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It really pays off to occasionally do a diff against a much older version. Learned that the hard way from helium, where several sections went 'missing' for a month and not a single person noticed... Femto 16:43, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Killed edit

Why did you kill my edit? (Pizza)

The link I added was non-commercial and just as valid as any of the others, which you left. The preceding unsigned comment was added by [email protected] (talk • contribs) .

Commercial or not, (re)adding your own site is not appropriate. The link also hasn't found support at Talk:Pizza. Femto 16:55, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination for adminship

With more than 3000 edits, I feel you deserve to be made an admin and to gain use of the admin tools.

Your RfA

Your adminship nomination didn't achieve consensus. Please look at the reasons voters opposed your nomination and this will be a big aid to succeeding in the future. Many initially failed nominees have gone on to be admins later. Cheers, Cecropia 22:03, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Summing up

With (13 support / 6 oppose / 7 neutral) it failed, but not miserably so. The only serious concerns were about lack of edit experience in the Wikipedia namespace, time will fix that. Though of course admin superpowers (what do you mean they can't fly) would have been nice, I'm just as happy without them. Thanks to all involved! Femto 12:22, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Feline1 and Krash wiki-stalking

Thanks for stepping in about Feline1's usual abuse. I'll open a discussion at the list to rename it from "songs" to "music pieces", then we'll see which new excuse he'll invent to deny a mere See also link.

In the meantime, there's another problem: Feline1 and User:Krash (which seem to share the same mental profile) are working in tag-team to own those pages, and Krash is now wiki-stalking me, reverting a perfectly valid edit I made to another article, without even motivating the reversion. Explained on Talk:Brian Eno before reverting back, if you can provide a 3rd opinion.
