Hi there -- it would be preferable if you edited the words "fairly unique" rather than put in a comment about it. Also, there is no "author" at Wikipedia -- we are all editors with the authority and responsibility to make corrections.

Thanks, BCorr ¤ Брайен 22:15, 26 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Alternately, if you wish to comment on something in a particular article, please do so in that article's Talk: page. (At the bottom of every main page you should see a "Discuss this page" link, between the "Watch this page" and "Page history" links, which will take you to the appropriate place.) On the Talk: page we can discuss phrasing, formatting, POV, etc. without scribbling all over the article itself. - Jim Redmond 23:14, 26 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Hello Deb, Thank you. Pleased to meet you. I will create a user page as soon as the semester is over. John

Hello, are you John Hickman? If so, it might be a good idea to create a proper user name for yourself - I had difficulty tracking you down. But I'm here now, and pleased to meet you. Deb 11:51, 20 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Hello Tageshimon, Thank you. This page does seem overdue. I made further edits that I believe may have incorporated the ideas the your comments. What do you think? John Hickman

Hello. I have not a clue who you are, but am grateful to you for the List of memoirs of political prisoners page. I, like Deb, would urge you to create a user name; but also when editing a page, to put a comment in the summary field (beneath the large edit box) so that others can track changes to pages by looking at their history. Best wishes --Tagishsimon

Please see my reply at User talk:Docu -- User:Docu

Why the external link to list of political prisoners in the USA, on List of memoirs of political prisoners? It is not *directly* related to memoirs ... I'd have thought it would be better placed on the political prisoners page than on the memoirs page: if we have the USA link, then should we not have a link for every other country? And would that not turn the page into something else entirely ... a list of links to lists of political prisoners? --Tagishsimon 18:00, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Sorry about the rollback--it was done mistakenly (though I have my issues with your edit). See talk:Douglas Feith. Apologetically, Meelar 23:25, 17 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

The Eisenhower information has been rehased ad infinitum and the current version is the best NPOV version. Your reverts are not only ungrammatical, but POV. RickK 00:01, 18 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Stop adding commentary and biased information to articles. This can be considered vandalism and can cause you to be blocked from editing in Wikipedia. - Tεxτurε 00:13, 18 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Last warning. Stop vandalizing Wikipedia. RickK 00:13, 18 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Preston Smith - please remove the information about the GA State Senator Preston Smith from the article on Governor of Texas Preston Smith. If you want to create a disambig page, fine, but please put the info about the State Senator in a separate article. If you can keep it from being listed on VfD and then deleted, more power to you, but I doubt there are many freshman State Senators worthy of an encyclopedia. I happen to have a very fine state senator, Robert Duncan, but I don't think he yet rates an encyclopedia article. H2O 02:18, 15 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Guantanamo

Well, true, but the original entry slanted its facts so hard that I guess I erred on the other side. We need to come up with a truly neutral (NPOV) way of addressing that issue. It would be easier if you were to create an account--that would create some continuity of identity. Don't feel compelled, but I would appreciate it, and it makes editing easier. Anyway, you're welcome to correct my phrasing. I'll be looking at it as well. Good luck, Meelar (talk) 20:12, 16 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Thank you. We all need to remember that these are works in progress.

Teddy bear 'scandal'

Hi there. I notice that you have been repeatedly adding a reference to an article about the FBI investigating a teddy bear to Political scandals of the United States. Please would you discuss this on the talk page, rather than just changing the article back. DJ Clayworth 13:28, 24 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Gingrey

Please see Talk:Phil Gingrey. Meelar (talk) 17:39, 24 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Gingrey (again)

The article says that "Critics of Gringrey have charged that his approval of conditions at Guantanamo Bay may conflict with his ethical obligations as a physician."

I challenge you to name me one cited critic. Find me one instance of Gingrey being charged of this. Please. Otherwise, I'll have to continue this pointless revert war. I'd like to come to some acceptable conclusion, but I will not accept this being mentioned if none of his actual opponents are saying anything about this. Meelar (talk) 23:56, 25 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Someone else wrote that. Challenge them. Whether any of his opponents are raising the issue does not make it true or false.

Overall editing pattern

You might have noticed that you're getting into a good number of conflicts throughout Wikipedia--not just with me. Looking at your edit history, I noted that many users had reverted your edits to Jean Carnahan, Contract with America, Born againPolitical scandals of the United States, and other pages. I think your time here would be happier and more productive if you were to try to work within our policies. For example, read Wikipedia:NPOV, where it clearly states that we do not take stances on controversial issues--rather, we attribute opinions. Wikipedia:Policies is a summary of all our policies; I'd encourage you to read it, follow it, and learn from it. Your current behavior is unacceptable. Also, I'm obligated to warn you that you're not allowed to revert an article more than 3 times a day. Meelar (talk) 00:39, 26 Jun 2004 (UTC)
