Shortcut
This subpage is aimed at coordinating maintenance of Wikipedia:Article Improvement Drive. If you have a minute or two, read the instructions and join our happy family of maintainers. The job is easy - you just do the "Checking the nominations subsection" every few days, and feel the joy of doing something useful for the communitiy! :-)

Checking the nominations subsection

What to do

  1. Check that the title of every nomination has correct vote count
  2. Check that there are no anon votes (move them to comments and sign that you removed it)
  3. Fix the "stays until" part if number of votes exceedes the needed number
  4. Remove articles which "stay until" yesterday or earlier, archive at /Removed and remove {{AIDnom}} from article's talk page.


Or you can use the bot (this bot is still under developement, so don't hesitate to try it and report any errors to me)


If you checked the nominations subsection and fixed what was needed to be fixed, sign on the top of the list to the right and delete the bottom entry (keep the list 10 entries long). Sign even if you found nothing to do, just so we know somebody checked. It'd be nice if we had a pace of one check every 12 hours. If somebody checked in last 6 hours, don't bother checking and go do something useful.

Instructions for rollover

Here are detailed instructions for the rollover. Please note that there are now two AID articles per week, and these instructions must be performed for both articles:

  1. Add old AID article diff to /History page
  2. Edit this section
  3. Fix Template:IDRIVEtopic
  4. Fix Template:AIDvoter
  5. Add new AID articles to /History page
  6. Remove new AID article from project page and put content you removed to new AID article's {{to do}}
  7. Fix Template:Aid-summary: copy/paste introduction of new AID articles to it and change the picture (just replace the image name, don't change image size)
  8. Remove {{AIDcur}} from old AID articles
  9. Add {{Past AID|date|year}} on talk page of old AID articles
  10. Put {{AIDcur}} on new AID articles
  11. Remove {{AIDnom}} from talk page
  12. Put {{to do}} on new AID articles' talk page if it doesn't exist already
  13. Put {{subst:AIDvoter}} on talk page of people who voted for the new AID articles (attention!: {{subst:AIDvoter}}, not {{subst:AIDvoter}})
