Philosophers

Hi, I noticed you removed Bernard Williams and Ernest Gellner from the philosophers category, and placed one of them in British philosophers and the other in 20th century philosophers. I'm not terribly familiar with how the categories work, but my guess is philosophers is not a large category, so I'm wondering why you're splitting it further, and then placing Gellner and Williams in different ones. Any clarification would be much appreciated. Cheers, SlimVirgin (talk) 05:33, Jun 13, 2005 (UTC)

Ground Zero

Vandalism is not an acceptable form of self-expression on Wikipedia or anywhere. Having said that, I want to assure you that I meant no disrespect to the victims of the 9/11 tragedy or their families. To be honest, I really didn't make the connection to that horrible event when I chose the name. The phrase "Ground Zero" has been in use for decades. In particular, it was in common use through the Cold War in reference to the detonation of nuclear bombs. As a child of the 1980s, I was inspired by that usage. You could have found this out by asking me on my Talk page instead of vandalizing it. Ground Zero 21:24, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

vandalism

Please do not vandalize articles. This sort of offense can include inserting nonsense into articles, blanking articles, or otherwise changing articles with obviously unwanted content. This serves no other purpose than creating more work for Wikipedia's editors and administrators. If you do continue, your account and/or IP will be blocked. Kelly Martin 23:49, Jun 26, 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been removed. Please use Wikipedia:Sandbox for any other tests you want to do, since testing in articles will be removed quickly. Vandalism

You have recently vandalized a Wikipedia article, and you are now being asked to stop this type of behavior. You're welcome to continue editing Wikipedia, so long as these edits are constructive. Please see Wikipedia's Blocking policy and what constitutes vandalism; such actions are not tolerated on Wikipedia, and are not taken lightly.

We hope that you may become a legitimate editor and create an account. Again you are welcome to Wikipedia, but remember not to vandalize or you will soon be blocked from editing.

Are any of you idiots at Wikipedia aware that by the time you edit this entry to 'warn' the person in question, that that kid has already logged off and is long gone, and some old lady is logging on to read that you are 'warning' them to stop adding penis pics?

Wanna bet what grandma's reaction to hearing that might be? Wanna bet she doesn't come back to Wikipedia ever again?

If you guys wanna fight with kids, why not take it to the chat rooms.

We know that. So please don't insult us, thanks.--Shanel 16:47, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
