Terrorism against Arabs by various nations. Contrast with Palestinian terrorism, Terrorism against Israel.

  • Some actions carried out by private Israelis or Jews, as well as by Israel as state. See so-called Israeli terrorism for a broader discussion.
  • Sanctions imposed on Iraq by the United Nations (at the request and with the active backing of the United States and most other countries) during the years following the Gulf War are called "terrorism" by Saddam Hussein and his Arab supporters, because they supposedly harm civilians in the interest of a political goal - the removal of Saddam Hussein from power. Some advocates argue that the suffering of the Iraqi people during these years was caused by the diversion of funds from food and economic releaf to the construction of palaces and secret military preparations.
  • Some Arabs refer to the American support of the Saudi Arabian monarchy as terrorist because they prefer to see the establishment of a more conventional Islamic Republic or civilian dictatorship. External links
