QuickRing

QuickRing was a gigabit-rate interconnect that combined the functions of a computer bus and a network. It was originally developed at Apple Computer, then developed further by National Semiconductor.

QuickRing appears not to be in current use, although it appears to have been an inspiration for other more recent technologies such as Scalable Coherent Interconnect and HyperTransport.
