The first episode of X-Men starts with Jubilee. Jubilee lives with her foster parents and discovers that she’s a mutant. She is alarmed by this news, and runs away to the mall. Jubilee goes to the arcade and plays video games, and we soon see that some X-Men are doing their shopping too (Gambit, Storm and Rogue). Not long after that a Sentinel breaks into Jubilee’s home, in search of a mutant. The Sentinel finds nothing there, and moves on to find her. It eventually reaches the shopping mall, and attempts to catch Jubilee. Storm, Rogue and Gambit prevent that but Jubilee runs out of the mall. There a Sentinel catches her but is then saved by Cyclops. Jubilee loses consciousness.
Next we see Jubilee awaken in the X-Manor. When Xavier uses his telepathy to discover that she wants to get out of there, he assembles the X-Men and they search for her after she attempts to leave. She stumbles into the Danger Room, where she encounters Wolverine and Gambit in a duel. Jubilee incapictates a Wolverine that's about to strike Gambit. Storm takes Jubilee to the rooftop and explains the X-Men to her. After that there’s a little gathering in the communication room and the professor learns that the Sentinel had data from the Mutant Control Agency.
We see her foster parents at their home, speaking with Trask--a person from the Mutant Control Agency. He asks them to call if they hear anything about Jubilee. While Jubilee, attempting to visit her parents, encounters another Sentinel. Meanwhile, in the communication room Professor X explains his plan of destroying the files in the Mutant Control Agency. Storm, Wolverine, Beast and Morph will destroy the files. Cyclops, Gambit and Rogue will stay behind to cover them. Cyclops has a little conversation with Professor X and after the end of it, Jean Grey informs the X-Men of Jubilee’s absence. Wolverine goes searching for her, and Cyclops and the team go the agency. Wolverine meets them there, as he didn’t find Jubilee. The X-Men get past security, but the X-Men encounter a number of armed men.
