World in Conflict is a real-time strategy game developed by Massive Entertainment and VU Games. The game takes you to an alternate version of present-day Earth in which the Soviet Union still exists. It is set in a time-line where the Cold War never ended, and has now escalated to a point where the Soviet Union is invading the USA.
Gameplay
In a recent interview, Massive Entertainment reveald there will no be no base-building in the game [1]. Instead, players will be given a pre-determined amount of in-game credit to buy units with. It also boasts a unique system in which the player may choose a role in battle, including infatry, air, support, and tank. Specialized units will only be available to the role the player picked. Currently, two factions are set for developement- the USA and the Soviet Union, but whether there will be a third faction is yet to be confirmed. The developement team is also experimenting with a FPS that might be simililar to that of Battalion Wars.
