Some digital cameras have automatic panoramic functions that allow easy panoramic photography without the need for external tools or software.

How it works
The effect is created by using a camera with a CMOS or CCD sensor and taking multiple exposures (by camera) while controlling the exposure setting. The camera combines the pictures into a large panoramic shot. Previously, Sweep panorama has featured on higher price camera with CMOS sensor, but currently is also found on cheaper cameras with CCD sensors.[1]
