The film will be directed by Kenny Ortega, and the script will be written by acclaimed writer/producer and NAACP Image Award winner, Felicia Henderson. Filming began in March of 2006 in Barcelona, Spain, and will continue for eight weeks. The movie will premiere sometime in August of 2006 on the Disney Channel.

The Cheetah Girls

The Cheetah Girls is a movie based on a young adult book series titled The Cheetah Girls written by Deborah Gregory. The book series is about a girl group who seek to be discovered and become famous. The Disney Channel Original Movie, The Cheetah Girls based on the book series, is about four teens girls in New York seeking a record deal. They are discovered by a record producer while rehearsing for a school talent competition. Due to the popularity of the film, Disney formed a singing group with 3 of the four lead actresses (excluding Raven-Symone),also titled "The Cheetah Girls". For infomation on the group see The Cheetah Girls (girl group).Though the girls had some rought times, they still won their talent show.

Soundtrack

Little is known but the soundtrack will be released in Summer 2006.Recording started on January 12,2006.
