The OpenGL Architecture Review Board (ARB) is an independent consortium that governs the OpenGL specification. It was formed in 1992, and defines the conformance tests, approves the OpenGL specification and advances the standard.

The current members as of April 2006 are 3Dlabs, Apple, ATI, Dell, IBM, Intel, Nvidia, SGI and Sun Microsystems. Microsoft left in March 2003.
