Al Uyuni, Uyunids, sometimes Ayouni, Alaaonah, Layouni or Alaaonion (العيوني or العيونيون) family ruled the areas of Al Ahsa, Qatif and Bahrain in the east of the Arabian Peninsula between the fifth and seventh centuries AD (eleventh and thirteenth centuries).

They were the remnants of Bani Abdul Qays tribe and seized the country from the Qarmatians with the help of Seljuk in the year 467 AH (1076 AD), and fell into a state by Alasvurien of Bani Aqil Amer bin Sasah year 651 AH (1253 AD). From them is the famous poet Ali bin al Mugrab Al Uyuni.

Beginning

The Founder of the Al Uyunid country was Abdullah bin Ali bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Uyuni.

They seized the country from the Qarmatians with the help of Seljuk in the year 467 AH (1076 AD).

The Uyunid family are from the tribe of Abdul Qays know as (Al-Ibrahim) relative to their grandfather, lived in Ahsa, in the oasis known as the (eye) which is still the same name in Nowadays in Al-Mubarraz.
