AAA Capital District

The AAA Capital District is a high school conference in the state of Virginia that includes schools from Hanover and Henrico counties as well as the city of Richmond. AAA is the largest enrollment class of the Virginia High School League and also typically the most competitive level in Virginia high school sports.

The Capital District schools compete in the AAA Central Region with schools from the AAA Colonial District, AAA Dominion District, and the AAA Central District.


Facts about the District

The district contained six schools until 2003, when new Hanover High School opened. Atlee, Hanover, and Lee-Davis are located in Hanover County. Highland Springs, Henrico, and Varina are located in Henrico County. Armstrong is located in Richmond.
