Peter Rosenkrands Løvenkrands (born January 29 1980) is a professional footballer who currently plays for the German team Schalke 04. He is a centre forward who can also play as a winger although this is not his favoured position. Løvenkrands has played 14 games for the Danish national team and he was part of the Danish team at the
, as well as Template:Ec2.
In August 2005, he trialled for English Premiership club Middlesbrough but decided not to move as he started the 2005-06 season still with Rangers. He started in impressive scoring form, and played an important role in Rangers' run to the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League tournament. However, it is not yet clear if Løvenkrands will remain a Rangers player for the 2006-07 season.
In a recent edition of "Champions"[citation needed], UEFA's official magazine, Løvenkrands was named the second best striker in the 2005-06 Champions League, following Andriy Shevchenko and bettering players like Thierry Henry and Samuel Eto'o. Løvenkrands signed for Schalke 04 on 23 May 2006.
