Sulgrave is a small village in South Northamptonshire, with a population of around 380 people. It is situated near Banbury in Oxfordshire and is famous for Sulgrave Manor where the Washington family, ancestors of George Washington, first president of the United States, originated.

The manor was bought by Lawrence Washington, and the Washingtons held it for over 100 years.
