A Crate can refer to:

  • A type of large strong box, usually wooden: described below.
  • Crate Amplifiers, a guitar amplifier company,
  • Crate (pet), a wire, plastic, or fabric enclosure for pets
  • The word "crate" is sometimes used as (somewhat derogatory) slang for an old or badly-performing vehicle.

Crates can mean:-

  • Plural of "crate", pronounced as one syllable
  • A Greek name (Κρατης), pronounced as two syllables):-

A crate is a large strong box, often made of wood, often used to carry items in. A wooden crate is also called a packing case.
