About me
I am a barrister specialising in offshore finance. Prior to going into private practice I worked briefly as an academic teaching at Oxford University, and although I kept teaching part-time for as long as I could, I now practice law full time. I got involved with editing articles in Wikipedia quite by accident when I was unhappy at a number of inaccuracies and inconsistencies in articles relating to my field, which is (admittedly) a fairly swiftly developing are of law/finance.
The jurisdiction I practice in is the British Virgin Islands, but I try to be as even handed as I can in relation to the jurisdictions I know less about. If I have indvertantly misrepresented anything about anyone else's home turf, I apologise, and please feel free to correct me. Although I am (obviously) pro offshore finance centres generally, I try to balance my articles by including the main criticisms of them.
