Wikipedia talk:Articles requested for more than a year

I been working a little on the Wikipedia talk:Articles requested for more than a year. I created a brand new page for Venus Wars a Japanese film. It was quite hard to do because it is an older film (1989) and I actually never seen that movie.
I am not quite sure about the page about Youssouf, maybe an disambiguation page like User:SimonP suggested in the discussion page.
I been so hooked on this. I almost check Wikipedia:Articles requested for more than a year every day and I try to do a few new articles each week when I can. I am getting addicted which is not so good not that my final exams are coming up! Gadster 05:18, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Metric System

I didnt think it needed cleanup because the article made perfect sense to me. There doesnt seem to be a major cleanup required. Therefore, I think it is not neccessary for a 'cleanup'. There doesnt seem to be any information to group together anyway. Thanks. -Ladyknowledge

Re: Vandalism?

sholom aleihem the reason for my repeated altering of the RKKA article is due to irrelevance in provided information. The position advocated by detailed information of lend-lease supplies as opposed lack of any information about Soviet industry is not neutral by any means, but is an outburst of Cold War propaganda when both sides tried to diminish the opposing side's effort in WW2. I think that the detailed information like this belongs in a lend-lease article, not in a general article about the RKKA/Soviet Army

CMU isn't a "university" but a seminary.

University College of the North, a university?

You know, that's a really good question. Most University College's I know of are associated with the University of Toronto so it is typically a non-issue. I think of it more as a psudo-University as a mix between a College and a University. Ardenn 21:56, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, at present Israel does not have a Deputy Prime Minister, but during this (30th) government first Tommy Lapid then Silvan Shalom served as Deputy Prime Minister. A Deputy Prime Minister is in Hebrew Segan Rosh Hamimshala, while the Vice Prime Minister is Memalei Makom Rosh Hamimshala. Ehud Olmert is the latter since the beginning of the 30th government. He is also Acting PM, as both Rosh Hamimshala Befoal and Machlif Rosh Hamimshala translate officially to Acting PM in Israel. It is complicated. gidonb 03:50, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Editing links in people's comments on talk pages is sort of questionable. I'm specifically refering to this edit: [2]

You might want to consider keeping such edits to the main article pages, and let comments go. Just a thought.

I don't know of a specfic note on this topic off the top of my head, no, but there are various admonishments to tread lightly when dealing with editing others' comments. In this case, you didn't change anything that I think has any impact, but by disambiguating a link in someone's comment, you could easily shift the meaning to something that they feel they didn't intend to say. -Harmil 01:11, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I knew something was odd about Izzy Asper being an Israeli immigrant. My friend had an imput into the article and told me he was an Israeli immigrant. I should have done some research to make sure I had the right information on where he was born. Thanks for noticing the mistake. Good luck on your Computer Engineering degree. Just to be curious, I was wondering what you thought about the Asper School of Business Management program since you have a minor. No one else has opined yet, and though it's only been two days, I'm going to change all the instance to your suggestion until some more people chiem in (since it's half-and-half right now). Si, esas dos son palabras medias molestas para traducir, hay que verlas tambien en el contexto.

Chacra: Farm (Chacra ganadera o pra agricultura), Estate (land) (latifundio, chacra grande), Smallholding (mas chica que una chacra)
Quinta: Country house (si esta mas o menos alejada), Villa (si es una estancia o algo aun mas grande), Summerhouse (mucho mas chico)

Te recomiendo que uses un diccionario con acepciones y no babelfish de altavista, por ejemplo: el de yahoo

At first I thought it was new and written up at the wrong place, so I moved it and listed it correctly. I now realise that this old nomination cannot proceed and a new one at the correct name Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/María Martha Fernández will be needed and it will need a new entry on the relevant day's AfD page (click here to make new entry to the day's AFD page).
