Definition

Military history is the recording in writing or otherwise of the events in the history of Man that fall within the category of "conflict". This may range from a dispute between two tribes that come to blow over a plot of land, to a world war.

Military Eras

Eras in human history traditionally mirror those of military history, since the use of warfare has such a profound impact on human civilization. However, military eras can also be quite separated, and overlap, as they relate to particular weapon types, tactics, and different ways of thinking about war.
