Lina Makhul (in Hebrew: לינה מחול) (in Arabic: لينا مخول) is a female singer of Arabic/Israeli, Christian origins who is best known as the winner of the television reality show and being The Voice, Israel, 2013.
Makhoul born in Ohio in the United States and grew up in Acre, Israel daughter of Radha (electronics engineer and teacher) and Rizaq (Deputy City Engineer Acre). She danced ballet for ten years (from age 9). Studying biology at Technion and a volunteer in Magen David Adom for five years. Among her hobbies is playing on the piano. She is fluent in five languages: Arabic, English, Hebrew, Spanish and Italian.
In an audition for the second season of the TV show " The Voice of Israel "in late 2012, Makhoul sang the female part from Empire State of Mind by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys and joined the mentoring team of Shlomi Shabat. On February 13, 2013 Sarah Makhoul The program has its own cover version of the song " Autumn Leaves "(Arabic version, originally of Fayrouz ) is awarded for making their vote of all three mentors others. On March 23, 2013 Makhoul won the final program in Nokia Arena in Tel Aviv with 62% of the vote having performed the song What A Feeling, theme song of the movie Flashdance by singer Irene Cara, when you , along with her mentor Shlomi Shabat, a song written and composed with daughter singer Manor Saturday made it originally, and Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. She won a recording contract with Helicon Records.
