Yadavrao Tasgaonkar Institute of Engineering & Technology (YTIET), is an engineering college located in Bhivpuri Road, Karjat of Raigad district. YTIET is a private engineering college founded in 2005-06 and part of the Saraswati Education Society. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) (An accredting body of the Government of India) and by the Government of Maharashtra. YTIET is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The college has six departments: Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Bio Medical Engineering.
Campus
The campuses are located amidst in the foothills of Matheran, surrounded by the Sayadri Mountains and right on the banks of the Ulhas river. The campuses are situated in an area of more than 125 acres at Chandai and Diksal amidst Mother Nature. The campuses are beautifully landscaped to make it ideal for academic environment.
The strength of campuses lie in the diversity of programs offered and backgrounds and experiences of human resources.The modern infrastructure is developed to meet all the academic requirements with resources essential for research and development activities. The campuses are designed to meet the requirements of the new era economy, imparting quality education to more than 8000 students with an human resource count of thousand, which includes well qualified and trained faculties, administrative and support staff.

Area 244
Area 244 is the annual Inter-Collegiate technical festival of the college held in Feb. or March. Every year thousands of students participate in this event from all across Mumbai region. http://www.area244.net/
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are located well within the campus therefore they are very well secured and self sufficient. Hostel facilities are aesthetically located with natural surroundings with green and natural environment. Hostel facilities are provided in general for outstation students. However, if accommodation is still available after allotments, then students located far off from Bhivpuri Road, Karjat but within Mumbai and Navi Mumbai are also considered. The hostel facilities are provided separately for girls and boys with not more than three students per room. The hostels are self sufficient with all essential facilities like catering, sports, television, medical, dhobi, barber, etc. Banking facilities are being planned within campus

- Iron is officially allowed to use.
- LPG stove is provided in the hostel for the girls to prepare Tea & Coffee.
- T.V. is available for Individual blocks.
- Water is available 24 hours.
- Fax machine is available.

- Generator back-up is available 24 hrs.
