'''Anna Mela-Papadopoulou''' (Marseilles September 3 1871, Athens March 12 1938) was a renown Greek nurse who served in the Army, at the war front, as a volunteer, during the Balkan Wars, the Great War and the Asia Minor Expedition. She then dedicated her life in the struggle against Tuberculosis from which suffered the refugees from the Asia Minor Catastrophe. She helped in the construction of the Hospital "Sotiria" (Salvation) in Athens and a Sanatorium in Arcadia in the Peloponnese. She too died of turbeculosis.
