Zoar (He-Man)

Zoar is a Heroic fighting falcon from Masters of the Universe.

Early Minicomics

Zoar's first appearance was in the minicomic "The Magic Stealer", where is portrayed as He-Man's falcon (similar to Battle Cat being He-Man's tiger). In that first portrayal, Zoar was depicted as a male falcon.

DC Comics

In the DC Comics miniseries, Zoar wsa depicted as the Goddess' falcon, calling He-Man when the Goddess (who would later become The Sorceress) needed him, a glimpse of his later TV incarnation.

TV Series

When the TV series began, Zoar was drastically changed to be an alternate form of The Sorceress (making the TV Zoar a female).

Trivia

Skeletor's bird, Screeech, might have been created as a sort of rival to Zoar.
