Welcome to my talk page! Here you can bring up things related to Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects (all of the ones I've bothered to sign up for currently redirect here), or just anything you're curious about. Click the plus sign in the actions list above to create a new thread. Please demarcate the beginning of each one with a heading; otherwise, section editing won't be useful.
Note that this is an English Wikipedia page; if you're coming from a different wiki, make sure to log in first or indicate your username on the appropriate project.
Turnitin
Hello, I am new to editing Wikipedia and would like your help. I wish to edit the entry on Turnitin to show both the student and teacher perspectives on school's use of plagiarism prevention software. Please check out the Turnitin page to see my editing suggestions.

Image Tagged as Fair Use
Greetings. Thank you for uploading Image:UNCTV logo.gif. This image has been tagged as fair use. Please add a detailed rationale for each use, as described on Wikipedia:Image_description_page as well as the source of the work and copyright information. Or change the image license tag to something more appropriate. Regards, Dethomas 20:05, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
Troll page
Hi, see this User talk:Alerante/RFC, SqueakBox 21:41, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
I followed the person from the Panama page and found the /Rfc page and just wanted to let you know as a courtesy, SqueakBox 01:13, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
Okay. Have a nice birthday, SqueakBox 05:18, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Sarah York
You marked the Sarah York article as "unsourced". The information in the article all comes from the referenced This American Life episode. Is it that you don't consider This American Life a reliable source? I'm fairly sure all the information they report is truthful, though they may focus unevenly on certain aspects of a situation in order to tell a good story. rspeer / ɹəədsɹ 00:24, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
:/...
I'm not sure that moving the shortcut into the baduser infobox accomplishes any good, it seems to make it more asymmetrical and uselessly heighten the section it's in. 68.39.174.238 07:44, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
- Worth a try... 68.39.174.238 06:43, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
- I have issues with the image (Still), but that's something else again. The shortcut @ the bottom of the titlebox is excellent though; does it work with multiple shortcuts (Such as WP:WOW and WP:TCV have) ? 68.39.174.238 00:19, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Many thanks for fixing my welcome template!

Thanks
Hey thanks for the heads up and the compliment. I'll look into the proposal. - ElAmericano (dímelo) 02:07, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the... thanks
A Wiki-You're-Welcome for the thanks you gave me on my talk page. Cheers! --Doug (talk) 20:17, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
Reorganization II
Regarding your reorganization to WP:TEST:
Sorry to say this, but the sub-questions screw up Merphant's automated version. I had to renive them. I'll let you know if I see anything else. Freddie 01:59, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I know the system is weird. That's why I like it :) Freddie 14:39, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
Wow. I'm Chinese too! I guess Chinese people just get more addicted to WP :)
I can't reach you
I've tried reaching you by means other than The Forum and have been wholly unsuccessful. Your Jabber server doesn't accept creation of new accounts, and you aren't on any instant messengers. E-mail is just so... 1995. :-P Cctoide 22:57, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
Autowikitest
Hi æle, is the patch to wikiholic.cgi that you posted on Wikipedia talk:Are You a Wikipediholic Test the only change you made to the script, or did you have other enhancements? If that's the only change, let me know and I'll update my version too; if there are other changes please post a diff. Also, I just applied for an account on the toolserver as you suggested (see also the wikitest talk page). I don't do much on wp these days besides reading articles, so I didn't even know such a service existed! Thanks for the tip :) Merphant 01:39, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 03:37, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the great collaborative work on this, I've added some simple directions to the template page, please take a look and make sure they make sense! Thanks, — xaosflux Talk 04:17, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- Decent point, far past dates probally won't be fed in, I suppose we could have IsLeapYear start forking to other routines on old dates if it becomes an issue though. — xaosflux Talk 04:29, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Democracy
Indeed, see Wikipedia talk:Long term abuse/Wikipedia is Communism#Democracy next? for where I got the idea for the slogan. - Mike Rosoft 19:15, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
