Event Horizon (film)
Event Horizon is a 1997 science fiction movie based very loosely on 2001: A Space Odyssey. It was directed by Paul Anderson and stars The Matrix's Laurence Fishburne and Jurassic Park's Sam Neill.
Plot summary
In the year 2047, a rescue crew investigates a spaceship (the "Event Horizon") that mysteriously disappeared seven years earlier. The ship had been designed to travel faster than the speed of light. When they board the ship, they discover the truth about its disappearance and that it has brought back something even more horrifying.

The score of the film was written and performed by The Orb and Michael Kamen. The end credit theme was the song Funky Shit by The Prodigy. The movie was sampled heavily in Zao's 1999 album Liberate Te Ex Inferis.
