Young Rachel meets Connor MacLeod

Born in 1936 in Amsterdam, Holland to Jewish parents, she was rescued from the Nazis by Connor MacLeod in 1943. Connor adopted her and raised her as his own daughter. Later in life she became his friend, confidante and business partner in Connor's antiques store in New York. When Connor met and fell in love with Brenda Wyatt in 1985, Rachel realised that if even Connor could defeat The Kurgan, who had kidnapped Brenda, she would still not see him again because he planned to go back to Scotland with Brenda.

Highlander: Endgame

Following Brenda's death in 1987, Connor returned to New York and to Rachel. In 1993, Jacob Kell, who was in a personal vendetta against Connor, who had killed his adopted father and had turned him into an Immortal, arranged for an explosion at their antiques store, killing Rachel in the process. Connor was devastated with her loss and retired himself from The Game, hiding in The Watchers' Sanctuary, where he stayed until Kell destroyed The Sanctuary in 2003. Rachel's death would be avenged by Connor's clansman Duncan MacLeod, who, after taking Connor's head at his own request (so Duncan could be powerful enough to defeat Kell), was able to behead Kell.
