Chuck Swirsky

Chuck Swirsky, aka "The Swirsk", (born January 30, 1954 in Norfolk, Virginia, USA) is the television play-by-play voice of the Toronto Raptors of the NBA, alongside color commentators Leo Rautins and Jack Armstrong. He also hosts an afternoon sports radio show, “The Chuck Swirsky Show”, from 1-4pm on the Fan 590 and writes a weekly column for Raptors.com called “Chuck Checks In”. Swirsky is known to be fond of San Antonio Spurs forward Matt Bonner. At the end of every Raptor victory, he is known to chant, “Raptors win! Raptors win! Raptors win!”.

- “Onions, onions, and more onions! Buy a bushel big boy!” (The bushel reference usually to Leo Rautins)
- “Get out the salami and cheese, mama! This ball game is over!” (Chuck says this when the Raptors have clinched a game, usually with a three-pointer. He claims that the Raptors have never lost a game when he has "brought out the salami and cheese" even though he was proven wrong after calling it in the third quarter during Kobe Bryant's 81-point game.)

- “That's why there's chocolate and vanilla (Swirsky's standard line when someone disagrees with him)"
