Wynyard is a town on the north-west coast of Tasmania, Australia. It lies 16 km west of Burnie on the Bass Highway, and has a population of 4670 (1991 census). It is part of the local government area of Municipality of Waratah/Wynyard.

Wynyard is most notable for the local scenic attraction of Table Cape. The Wynyard Tulip Festival is also a popular event each year. Wynyard also has an airport, which serves the nearby city of Burnie.
