List of Sites of Special Scientific Interest in Avon

This is a list of the Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs) in Avon. As of 2006, there are 85 sites designated in this Area of Search, of which 39 have been designated due to their biological interest, 39 due to their geological interest, and 7 for both.

Note that English Nature, the designating body for SSSIs in England, uses the 1974-1996 county system, and the same approach is followed here, rather than, for example, splitting these sites between the Somerset and Gloucestershire lists.
