Petru Pavel Aron (1709-1764) was an ethnic Romanian Greek-Catholic cleric and intellectual, the bishop of Alba-Iulia and Făgăraş (Transylvania, present-day Romania).

Born in Bistra, Aron set up the first Romanian schools in Habsburg-ruled Transylvania at Blaj in 1754. He also translated the Biblia Vulgata into Romanian (1760-1761).
