Chino XL's third studio album entitled Poison Pen was released by Activate Entertainment on March, 17, 2006. The album was the follow up to Chino XL's highly praised Poison Pen: The Lost Tapes mixtape that left many avid fans craving for the full length release. Poison Pen was released as a 2-disc special collector's edition. Every copy was autographed by Chino XL with a silver "poison pen". The album features guest appearances from the late Proof of D-12, Wu-Tang Clan affiliate Killah Priest, and the Beatnuts. The tracks "Wordsmith", "Our Time", and "Beastin'" were leaked over the internet prior to the release of the album to help create a buzz of anticipation.

Disc Two
Disc Two is a remixed version of the album done by POWER 106's Mr. Choc. Sequencing is done by JBoogie and SugaShack. It also includes descriptions of each track by Chino XL.
