Todd Bender is from Alpharetta, Ga. He attended Trinity University from 1979 to 1982, recieving a B.S. in Business Administration.  He won the National Collegiate Shooting Championship 3 times, 1979 through 1981.  Todd joined the U.S. team for competition at the 1979 and 1981 world championships.  While on the shooting team at Trinity, Todd recieved instruction from Trinity shooting coach, Colonel Tom Hanzel.

In 1999, Bender entered into the Trinity University athletic hall of fame.

Today, Todd Bender is a shooting instructor, and occasionally authors articles on the subject.
