Phir Hera Pheri is a Bollywood movie and the sequel to the 2000 hit, Hera Pheri. The movie stars the three men from the previous film: Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty. Bipasha Basu and Rimi Sen are the leading ladies of the film. The movie released on 9 June, 2006.
Synopsis
Hera Pheri ended with the trio of Raju (Akshay Kumar), Shyam (Suniel Shetty), and Baburao (Paresh Rawal) rich and rolling in money. Phir Hera Pheri tells the story of what happens after they become rich.
The three men are living large in a massive bungalow and splurging on all amenities. Raju comes up with an idea of doubling his wealth in a matter of three weeks and convinces Shyam and Baburao to go along with his plan. They also convince a goon on the street to contribute Rs. 20 lacs so that they can come up with the minimum deposit of Rs. 1 crore as well.They sell their bungalow to come up with the money.
They invest Rs. 1 crore in a company named Laxmi Chit Funds, run by a stunning woman named Anuradha (Bipasha Basu). Three weeks later, Raju, Shyam and Baburao find out that the chit-fund company was a scam and had ripped off many of its investors. The goon is also in trouble because he had borrowed money from a dreaded gangster, Tiwari (Sharat Saxena), who will kill him if he doesn't pay up. Raju, Shyam and Baburao now have three days to come up with money to pay back the goon or else they will be eliminated. Released on June 9, 2006, Phir Hera Pheri has reportedly opened to a thunderous response breaking many records, especially in Mumbai.It has been indicated that the movie is a Blockbuster. A further analysis can be completed once the movie has completed its box office run. [1]
