The Cheetah Girls 2, a made-for-TV movie, is the upcoming sequel to the successful Disney Channel Original Movie The Cheetah Girls, starring NAACP Image Award winner Raven-Symoné.

The sequel is about a talented teen quartet who take a whirlwind tour of the Catalan capital to pursue their dreams of pop superstardom. Emmy and NAACP Image Award winner Lynn Whitfield (The Josephine Baker Story) and Lori Alter return as the Cheetah Girls' protective mothers, and popular Mexican recording artist (VMALA Best New Artist 2004) and actress Belinda is introduced in her first English-speaking role as a would-be rival to The Cheetah Girls. Emmy Award-winning Kenny Ortega (High School Musical) directs the movie and co-choreographs the movie with Charles Klapow (High School Musical). Raven-Symoné also is an executive producer on this movie.[1]

Storyline

The sequel contains comedy, adventure and drama elements similar to its predecessor. The movie begins when Galleria enters the group in a Barcelona music festival, and the foursome, Galleria's protective mom Dorothea and Chanel's mother Juanita travel to Spain. Once there, they meet Marisol, a talented solo singer and her manager/mother Lola, who may be plotting the group's breakup. Joaquin, a tango dancer, shows the girls around and falls for Dorinda. Aqua is busy thinking about her aspirations for a career in fashion. Chanelle questions her mother's future with her boyfriend, Luke. Galleria is frightened that the Cheetah Credo will cease to exist. The Cheetahs also break a strict rule of the festival, which puts their hopes of stardom in jeopardy.
