Jatts are an ethnic group or tribe of the Punjab region in Northern India and Pakistan. Jatts who are from Punjab and follow the Sikh religion. Punjabi Jatts are found in the Indian state of Punjab (where they are Sikhs). In Pakistan's Punjab province Punjabi Jatts are of the Muslim religion. Both of these groups share the same culture,origin,history and lanaguage. Many common goth/gotra/clan names exist between Punjabi Jatts of both religions: Sandhu,Ghumman,Warraich,Randhawa,Gill,Cheema,Chatha.
