Cherrybrook is a suburb of Sydney, Australia, within the Hornsby local government area, about 25 kilometres north-west of the central business district. Population (2001): 18,139. However, it is situated in the Hills District.

Cherrybrook was first settled by Europeans in the 1840s; the old Methodist chapel, built in 1845, is still in use today. Originally a semi-rural area, Cherrybrook has become a residential suburb since the 1980s. It's population has a large elderly population, as well as several migrant populations. Although the Chinese community was quite large a decade ago, it has reduced to less than 1 % of the population in recent years.

Cherrybrook expanded rapidly in the mid to late 1980s when project homes became the norm. Many houses are similar, hence, the suburb takes on a 'utopian' characteristic. Cherrybrook is heavily residential, with limited commercial zones. There are an overwhelming amount of roundabouts within the streets of Cherrybrook, and many of the streets are named after trees.

Churches
