Physics in Perspective is a scholarly journal published by Birkhäuser. It publishes articles that examine physics from historical, philosophical, and social scientific perspectives, as well as book reviews and physics-themed travel guides.[1] It targets audiences in the natural sciences as well as the humanities, seeking to bridge the Two Cultures divide described by C. P. Snow. It is edited by Peter D. Pesic and Robert P. Crease.

History

The journal was established by John S. Rigden and Roger H. Stuewer in 1999,[2][3] "to recognize historical and philosophical studies as essential to understanding the foundations of physics, to appreciating the diffusion of physics into all areas of science, and to conveying the cultural influence of physics on the arts and humanities."[4]
