Image Tagging Image:Alexrider.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Alexrider.JPG. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Steve block talk 20:55, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really see there was any need to delete the image, but for future ref, please enter the web address of the source from which you took the image. I was never disputing the fair use of the image, only that it was unsourced. All that needed enteriung was the source of the image, in this case the Alex Rider website. I'm not sure I understand the reason for the deletion of the image. Steve block talk 20:20, 24 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I deleted the image as it wasn't a whole book cover and so fairsuse issues/problems arise - better safe than sorry! Brookie: A collector of little round things 07:56, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image replaced and up for deletion

Hi, I've replaced the image Image:02logo.jpg, uploaded by you, with Image:O2 logo.png because PNG is a more suitable format for images with no photographical content. The original image has been listed for deletion—hope this is OK. –Mysid 07:10, 9 December 2005 (UTC |

You have uploaded a bunch of images in that gallery that asserts fair use, but doesn't qualify a rationale, or its source, only saying that you took it off a website. Can you fix these problems, please? These includes things like Image:Bike.JPG, Image:Electromagnet.JPG, Image:CorgiDB5.JPG and other such stuff. They will be deleted in a few days if no source is provided. Elle vécut heureusement toujours dorénavant (Be eudaimonic!) 09:41, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use and userspace

Hi, I notice you have a number of fair use images at User:Electricmoose/My Pictures (35 acording to this report). Acording to Wikipedia policy we are now allowed to have fair use images in userspace (see Wikipedia:Fair use#Fair use policy (point #9)), so I have to ask you to please remove these as soon as possible (you can link to the images instead, add a colon (:) at the start of the image link in order to make a regular link instead of displaying the image). It's fine to display free licensed and public domain images, just not the fair use ones. Thanks in advance. --Sherool (talk) 18:47, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging for Image:Firebolt.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Firebolt.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Huge signature

Hi Electricmoose. I don't mean to be a dick, but your signature is gigantic. Would you consider revising it so that it's (at least) under 150 characters? Having such a big signature really mucks up the wiki code. Thanks. ~MDD4696 21:36, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Corgicars.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ed g2stalk 22:18, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Spark.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Spark.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear.
