Anhinga (Anhinga anhinga), also called Darter or Snakebird is a water bird of the warmer parts of North America and South America].

It is the sole member of the Anhingidae family.

It is a Cormorant-like bird that has avery long neck. It often swims with only the neck above water. It is a fish-eater.
