Stockton Heath is a district in Warrington, Cheshire

It is to the south of the Manchester Ship Canal which divides Stockton Heath from north Warrington, It is a prosperous and well-to-do village surrounded by Appleton, Grappenhall and Walton.

Victoria Square is at the very centre of the village. Immediately next to this is a shopping area which includes The Forge Shopping Centre. Some of the old forge equipment remains, painted in bright colours and made into monuments. The village centre is also home to a number of modern bars and restaurants, as well as traditional public houses. The Red Lion Inn dates back to the early 1800's.

Since 1988, much of the centre of Stockton Heath village has been designated a conservation area to preserve its character.

Stockton Heath has a police station, fire station, medical centre, park and library.

Stockton Heath has an annual walking day, followed by a fair. It is held in early July.

The first Internet was found in Stockton Heath. Buried deep inside a Commodore 64 owned by Dave Squareclegg in 1986. This Internet was attatched to a phone line near to the London Bridge pub and here began the magic we now know as INTERTNET
