Omarion (born Omari Ishmael Grandberry on November 12, 1984 in Inglewood, California) is an African American R&B singer and the former lead singer of boy band B2K.

Music career

In 1999 Omarion was the last member to join boy band B2K, at age 15. He was introduced to Raz-B, J-Boog and Lil' Fizz through Chris Stokes (CEO of TUG). Omarion and IMX member Marques Houston claimed to be half brothers, and in fact can be seen showing off a house they live in together on an episode of the highly popular MTV show, Cribs. They now deny being blood brothers, but explain that they are like brothers. Marques' father is Michael Houston, Omarion's father is Trent Grandberry. Omarion's mother is Leslie Burrell. Marques's mother, Carrolyn Houston, died when he was 15. Omarion is the older brother of R&B singer O'Ryan.

B2K disbanded in January 2004, right after appearing in the Screen Gems film You Got Served. Omarion went on to start a solo career, and released his solo debut album, entitled O, through Epic Records on February 24, 2005. The album received good reviews and eventually managed to debut at #1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart. With "Touch", "I'm Tryna" and the LP's title track "O" the album spawned three singles, latter one peaking at #27 on Billboard's Hot 100. In the meantime Omarion was also featured on Bow Wow's #4 hit "Let Me Hold You".

Omarion is currently in the studio recording his sophomore effort, which is due to be released on October 3 titled 21. The album's first single "Entourage" was recently leaked via the internet. Another two tracks from the album called "Impossible" and "Fool With You" were also leaked via the internet. The music video for Omarion's "Entourage" premiered on BET's "Access Granted" Tuesday, July 25. It featured Lil' Fizz, his former bandmate.
