The Dawn Parade
The Dawn Parade were a rock band from Bury St Edmunds. Formed in 2000 and centered around main songwriter Greg McDonald (singing, guitar). The band's personnel changed a number of times during the band's five year history, with the final lineup of the band consisted of Jeremy Jones (lead guitar), Neil Rayson (singing, bass guitar) and Mark Sewell (drums). During the band's lifetime, they managed to clock up something in the region of 200 gigs up and down the UK and, while never releasing an album, they issued a number of sold-out CD singles as well as one download-only release. During this time they received critical acclaim from Rolling Stone and John Peel, for whom the band performed a number of live sessions, amongst others.
The band changed its name to The Visions in late 2005 shortly after finishing work on their debut album, which will now be released under their new moniker.
