James Lance Bass (1979-??) is a singer in the American pop group N'Sync and a native of Mississippi. He began his musical odyssey in the seventh grade in the school chorus. He later joined Mississippi Show Stoppers, a state wide group sponsored by the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum. He joined Mickey Mouse Club alums JC and Justin Timberlake in N'Sync, a boy band turned overnight sensation. Considered the 'quiet one' of the group, Lance is the only member of the band who loves the music of Boyz II Men.
