Ian Kennedy (born December 19, 1984, in Huntington, CA) is a junior at the University of Southern California (USC). He is a right-handed pitcher, and he was drafted by the New York Yankees in 2006. He is 6' 1" tall, and he weighs 195 pounds.

College Stats

In Kennedy's freshman year at USC (2004), he went 7-2 in 16 games, with a 2.91 ERA and one save. He pitched 92 ⅔ innings, struck out 120, and walked 31. In his sophomore year (2005), he went 12-3 in 18 games, with a 2.54 ERA and one complete game. He pitched 117 innings, struck out 158, and walked 38. He is now a junior.

2006 Draft

Ian Kennedy was drafted by the New York Yankees in 2006. He was their second pick in the first round, chosen after first pick Joba Chamberlain. Kennedy has not yet been signed.
