Doc Hammer (born Eric Alexander Hammer on February 2nd, 1967? in New London, Connecticut, USA) is a painter, co-writer(with Christopher McCulloch), editor, and voice actor (Doctor Girlfriend, Henchman #21 and Master Billy Quizboy) for the animated television series The Venture Bros., musician and composer of a soundtrack for a film that was featured at the Cannes Film Festival. He was also a part of the band Mors Syphilitica with Lisa Hammer, whom he married in 1989 but has since divorced. He is credited for his earlier work as E.A. Hammer.

He attended the Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston, but dropped out. Coincidentally, his roommate was Ben Edlund of The Tick, through whom he met Christopher McCulloch. The three have since collaborated on episodes of The Venture Bros.

His hair naturally grows in two colors due to a birth defect. He also suffers from Ménière’s disease and at one point had testicular torsion, which was the inspiration for a Venture Bros. episode (Are You There, God? It's Me, Dean).

He is an oil painter, whose work is exhibited at the Arcadia gallery of fine arts in SoHo. Most of his portraits are of women in bras, and are titled "Saint" with successive numbers. One portrait, of Liz Vassey from the live-action incarnation of The Tick, can be seen in the background of a Venture Bros. episode. Many of his paintings can be found on his DeviantArt page.
